Public Interest Externship Program

The Public Interest Externship Program provides an opportunity for students to work in a public interest setting for academic credit. Students enrolled in the Public Interest Externship Program work at a not-for-profit legal services organization or a government agency. In addition, students participate in a co-requisite seminar on “Public Interest Lawyering and Ethic."

Thirty (30) students will be selected each semester; 15 Judicial and 15 Public Interest. The Executive Director of the Feinstein Institute will determine who is accepted into the Externship Program. To apply, each student must complete an application and provide a writing sample, resume and essay.  The application must be submitted via Symplicity by the application deadline.
