Thank you for applying to Roger Williams University School of Law! We hope that you will monitor your application status using the Applicant Status Online (ASO) feature as your ASO will be updated promptly as any status changes occur. 

You will receive an initial email from the Office of Admissions to confirm receipt of your application which will include your user name and password for ASO.  If you do not receive this email, contact the Office of Admissions at 800-633-2727 Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for assistance.

Be sure to add @rwu.edu to your list of accepted email addresses to ensure that you receive all communications regarding your application. 

Following is a brief summary of the application status descriptions you may encounter as your application is processed.

Application Received
 
Your application has been received.  We will begin a preliminary review and will be in touch to let you know if any credentials are missing or we have any questions concerning your application.
Application Responses Incomplete Your application is missing one or more required components or responses.  The Office of Admissions will notify you by email.  Or, you may inquire at 800-633-2727.
Character & Fitness Review
 
Our Admissions Committee will make a preliminary review of responses for the Character & Fitness section of your application.  This review is part of our regular file review process.  If further explanation or documentation is required, we will contact you by email.
Documentation Required - C&F The law school Admissions Committee is in the process of considering your application for admission to Roger Williams University School of Law. They have asked the Dean’s office to secure more detailed information from you regarding your responses to our “character and fitness” questions.
Documentation Received - C&F The Office of Admissions has received your response and/or additional documentation required for the Character & Fitness review.
CAS Pending Your application is pending receipt of your CAS Report and/or Letters of Recommendation.  Your application will remain in this status until we have received your report which includes all test scores, undergraduate & graduate transcripts, and at least one letter of recommendation.  Log into your LSAC Account to review the status of your CAS report and included materials. Please refer to the LSAC Credential Assembly Service for more details on this important component of your law school application.
Review Pending Your completed application is ready for review by our Admissions Committee.  Decisions are released on a rolling basis from mid-December through late July.  Most applicants will receive a decision 2-10 weeks after submitted for review.
Waitlist: Decision Pending Our Admissions Committee has voted to place your name on our fall waitlist.  Our waitlist will be assessed regularly until early August.
Decision Released Our Admissions Committee has mailed a decision to the address indicated in your applications.  Allow 3-5 business days to receive your decision by mail.
Initial Deposit Received We have received and processed your initial $200 seat deposit.  Your second deposit is due postmarked no later than June 1.  Call 800-633-2727 with any questions or to make a payment by credit card.
Full Deposit Received We have received the full $600 deposit required to reserve your seat. Visit our Admitted Students section for additional information about preparing for law school.
