Anthony Bastone is a nationally known legal career services expert. With over three decades of experience in law school career services, Dean Bastone offers knowledge and experience in the areas of career counseling, on-campus recruiting, and employer relations. During his tenure in the career services field, Dean Bastone has initiated several partnerships with State Bar Associations, he has maintained sophisticated career services libraries, and he has built career development programs and events for both law students and law alumni. Dean Bastone has been recognized by the University of Colorado School of Law as "Career Services Dean Emeritus," a prestigious appointment and the only one of its kind in the nation.

Dean Bastone has been instrumental in the development of initiatives to support law students of color. The Colorado Diversity Summer Clerkship Program, which he created, has become a model for other law schools and communities across the country. In addition, Dean Bastone has served as a leader and professional consultant in the field of employment marketing and recruitment. Dean Bastone's work was recognized at the 2007 National Association for Law Placement Conference where he received the "Mark of Distinction Award for Diversity".

Prior to entering legal education, Bastone spent 13 years in Criminal Justice Administration and teaching in universities and community colleges.

Before leaving the criminal justice arena, Dean Bastone was the recipient of a "Presidential Commendation" awarded by President Gerald R. Ford for outstanding service in the field of Criminal Justice.
