4 Days Away...
I can’t believe it is already time to go to London. Where has all the time gone? Let’s see…after a very long semester, I decided to enter the Law Review Competition. Then I decided to take some much needed “me” time. I blew the dust off the Playstation 3 (I highly recommend Super Street Fighter), attended my brother’s graduation from URI (way to go baby bro!), and finally returned all the phone calls, emails, texts, and other messages I hadn’t gotten to because of the dreaded appellate brief and finals.
I can’t even really put my excitement about this London trip into words. During my undergrad, I never got a chance to study abroad so when this opportunity came around, I jumped. London is a great city (so says my cousin who recently moved there) and there should be lots of things to do. I am especially looking forward to the internship with the barrister or judge. I’ve had three or four people tell me to make sure I take photos of myself wearing “one of those funny looking wigs.”
Aside from providing my friends the comedic relief they so desperately need, I am also going to be taking classes with other RWU London students at the historic Inner Temple. Then there is the sightseeing I’ll be doing all over Europe, the British Open (scored a ticket and am going to St. Andrews with a classmate), and yes, even the World Cup (England and the US open World Cup play against one another on June 11).
If only these bags would pack themselves…
