The weather was perfect for the 11th RWU Law Alumni Association Golf Tournament (thankfully it was not scheduled for the rainy and cold following day), and more than 100 folks knocked little white balls around the Cranston Country Club for a good cause: every dollar raised goes to deserving 2Ls who display academic excellence. As usual, alum Anthony Leone '97 oversaw the entire effort, ably assisted this year by alums Sally McDonald '09 (Anthony’s Co-Chair), plus Committee Members Adam Resmini '09, Cindy Salazar (3L) and Nick Pereira (3L). Chelsie Horne did a magnificent job keeping the complex enterprise on track, with help from her colleagues Meghan Hansen and Kathy Gaskell + volunteers Charlotte Ferris, Lydia Hanhardt, Jessica Rumsey, and trios of 3Ls (MaryKate Geary, Diana Peretti, Ashlee Reed) and alums (Kevin Rolando '07, Elizabeth Suever' 07, and Margreta Vellucci '07).
Thanks to all of the duffers and players (I won’t attempt to categorize!)—including Linn Foster Freedman (a partner at Nixon Peabody and a member of our Board of Directors); Tony Bastone, Larry Ritchie, Jon Shelburne, and Jorge Elorza from inside the SOL building; from across campus: VP of Advancement Bob West and his colleague Christine Parker, and of course our friends at Bon Appetit (James Gubata and Don Fitting, who also helped sponsor the event) and Tara, Joe, and the BA staff for the great chow. And a special shout out to Judge Dan Procaccini and AUSA Richard Rose (stars on our Adjunct Faculty, but perhaps not so much on the greens!).
