Calabresi Named Chief Justice Weisberger Visiting Professor of Law

I am delighted to announce that a giant in legal education, Steve Calabresi, the Class of 1940 Professor of Law at Northwestern Law, will be teaching a course at RWU Law next fall.  Prof. Calabresi is an expert in Constitutional Law, with a special emphasis on executive power.  He clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia, was a founder of the influential Federalist Society (where he continues to serve as Chairman of its Board of Directors), and is the author of more than 30 books and articles in the nation’s top law reviews.  Among his many provocative ideas: term limits for Supreme Court justices, (perhaps surprisingly) recently endorsed by liberal commentator Hendrick Hertzberg.  Check out the debate.  We look forward to having such a noted scholar joining our community soon.
