Come & Celebrate Roger On the Block!

ROTBHere’s your chance to help Roger Williams University make history!

On Saturday, September 10, from 1 to 5:00 p.m., RWU Law will be joining the rest of the University – on particular the School of Continuing Studies and the School of Justice Studies – to host a block party celebrating the official opening of our new Experiential Campus at One Empire Street in Providence.

In what is quickly becoming an iconic corner of the city, we’ll gather with partners and neighbors (including Trinity Rep, AS220, the Providence Public Library, Housing Works RI, the Latino Policy Institute, the Rhode Island Center for Justice, Grow Smart RI, and many more) for a special celebration demonstrating the community resources that we collectively offer – in education, the arts, social services and beyond – to foster a more economically vibrant and socially inclusive Rhode Island.

There’ll also be lots of fun on tap, with live music, food trucks, cultural performances, community resources and lots of family activities – and it’s all free and open to the public. (RWU will provide bus transportation for faculty, staff and students.)

As RWU President Donald Farish explains, a big part of Roger Williams’ goal in the city is “to make a significant and meaningful difference in Rhode Island communities too long underserved by higher education.”

The new campus represents a vibrant hub of transformative programs that combine traditional high-quality classroom-based teaching with intensive experiential learning, and embody the very best aspects of a private university with a public purpose.
