As the dignitaries and graduates gathered to be robed for the commencement procession, the air was filled with fellowship and a true sense of accomplishment. Besides the de rigeur portraits with the Honorary Degree recipients, I had the amazing opportunity over lunch to hear iconic Federal Judge Jack Weinstein discuss his involvement with Thurgood Marshall’s legal team on Brown v. Board of Education as a young lawyer, plus to watch another RWU Law tradition, the pinning of a boutonniere on the robes of newly tenured faculty members John Chung and Keeva Terry. Another pre-procession highlight: star Adjunct Faculty member Don Migliori discussing mass torts with Judge Weinstein. And then, with an amazing spring day awaiting, the bagpipes fired up and the procession began. Here are some pics, with more to come soon….
