Fall Fun in Rhode Island

Posted by Library Blog on 09/17/2014 at 02:52 PM

Before you are knee-deep in snow (or not) and studying for exams (definitely), take some time to enjoy some of the fall events in Rhode Island.  There are numerous local fairs and festivals held during September and October.  Eat delicious foods, sample brews, view the works of artists, or even dance to the music of any number of bands!

Among the upcoming events are:

  • Pawtucket Arts Festival (through September 28)
  • Taste of Block Island (September 26 – 28)
  • Cluny Country Fair (Newport, September 28)
  • Norman Bird Sanctuary Harvest Fair (Middletown, October 4-5)
  • International Oktoberfest (Newport, October 11 – 12)
  • Scituate Art Festival (October 11 – 13)
  • Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival (Newport, October 18 – 19)

VisitNewEngland.com has all the details: http://www.visitri.com/fairs-and-festivals

For more suggestions for fun stuff to do between studying for classes, check out Rhode Island Monthly’s Things to Do,  Quahog.org’s Rhode Island Events Calendar or Discover Newport.

Need a pick-me-up before you study on a Saturday? Grab a treat on your way to the Law Library (lol) at the Mount Hope Farm Farmers Market held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
