The RWU School of Law Library staff recently said “Goodbye” to the Associate Dean for Library and Information Services and Professor of Law, Gail Winson. After serving as the law library’s director from 1993 to 2010, Ms. Winson decided it was time to retire. Ms. Winson will still continue to be involved with the law school community as Professor of Law Emeritus.
During the search for a new director, some staff changes were made. Currently, Associate Law Librarian Lucinda Harrison-Cox has been appointed Interim Director. Collection Services Librarian Stephanie Edwards has been appointed Interim Associate Law Librarian. Concerns and problems that normally would have been directed to Ms. Winson should now be brought to the attention of Ms. Harrison-Cox.
To accommodate changes in positions, a new part-time temporary Reference Librarian has been hired to assist our students and faculty with legal research. Please join us in welcoming Nicole Dyszlewski. Nicole recently obtained her Master’s of Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island. She earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and is an alumna of Hofstra University. So stop by and say “Hello” to Nicole and do not be shy about asking her for help with your legal research.
