Howdy everyone! My name is Cristal A. Pinnix and I am a 1L at Roger Williams University School of Law. I hail from the great state of Texas, from the city of Dallas to be exact. As a native Texan I relocated to the Northeast in 2004 to attend Franklin Pierce University, a small liberal arts...

“Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind,
Had to get away to see what we could find.
Hope the days that lie ahead
bring us back to where they've led
listen not to what's been said to you . . ." – Crosby, Stills and Nash

So here I am again, currently sweeping the cobwebs from my own mind.  It’s hard to believe that an entire month has passed since my last post. Some folks have even asked if I have run out of things to write about, the truth is I have been very busy living life and studying law.

Let’s see what have I been up to lately? Well a couple of weeks ago I went on a boat trip around Hope and Narragansett Bays courtesy of the kind people from Save the  Bay and the Marine Affairs Institute.   I participated in the 1L dodge ball tournament. The 1Ls dominated in Student/Faculty Jeopardy. Celebrated a friend’s birthday in Providence at a club. As a special treat I have posted some photos of my adventures.

Lately I have pretty much been outlining, studying for and took a midterm. This weekend I baked cookies for a bake sale, watched baseball and football, and of course worked on my open memo for legal methods.

Presently my life is a mixed bag of fun and not so fun, but I am still alive and well and surviving law school as best as I can.
