On August 15th, the School of Law welcomed 198 new students to our beautiful campus. The Class of 2013 arrived from 25 states (from places as far away as Utah and California) ready to tackle the challenges of a Roger Williams legal education. We are proud that this group is the most diverse class in the School of Law’s history.

Orientation kicked off with remarks from Paul Suttell, the Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court, who also administered the Oath of Professionalism. The students spent the next two days learning about the rigors of law school as well as the many resources available in their new community. Orientation ended with a barbeque hosted by our Student Bar Association on our front lawn on a beautiful Bristol afternoon. All of our first year students received their official RWU Law shades and enjoyed one last afternoon of relaxation before the official start of classes.
