Papers! The Writing Requirement!

Posted by Library Blog on 03/27/2014 at 04:05 PM

Stressed over writing papers or your writing requirement?  Well, stop stressing!  Librarians staffing the Reference Desk can help you.  They can show you resources for locating books and articles on your topic and materials for polishing your paper.  If a book is unavailable in the Law Library, it might be available in the RWU Library.   You can check out a book from the RWU Library by having your name entered into their library patron database.  You will need to show your law school ID to the person staffing the Information Desk.  Use the Law Library’s Inter-library Loan service if the book is unavailable in either library.

For locating articles, don’t forget that you have access to databases that you may have used while in college, such as JSTOR and Project Muse as well as HeinOnline, Lexis Advance, and WestlawNext.  You can access these databases from the Law Library’s Digital Resources page.  You will be prompted to type your name and law school student ID barcode for off-campus access.

In addition to JSTOR and Project Muse, the RWU Library has research databases in a wide variety of disciplines such as Academic Search Complete and Proquest

If you need help polishing your paper, the Writing Specialist Professor Kim Baker is an appointment away!
