My name is Regina Curran, and I'm 3L. Before coming to Roger Williams I received my BA in Sociology from Texas A&M University. I am originally from both Texas and Oklahoma. I took a short time off after undergrad to work odd jobs, but ultimately knew I was headed for law school. Having always wanted to live in New England I took advantage of the opportunity to start a new phase of my life in a new location. I had the opportunity to intern for Legal Aid as an undergrad and my interest in joining the legal profession sprouted out of my desire to actively work to improve the situation of others on a daily basis.

This past summer I worked for two civil firms in a border town of Texas and Mexico. I was able to be a part of projects on various legal matters from international law to age discrimination. As 2L I've had the opportunity to take a variety of coursework that reflects my varied interests in the law. I am also able to supplement my interests outside the classroom as Chair of the Latino Law Students' Association, Corresponding Secretary of the SBA, and a Graduate Assistant with the Department of Student Affairs for the University. I hope some of my experiences will shed a little light on the reality of life as an RWU law student.
