Linda Tappa is a third-year student at RWU Law.

Linda was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and she and her family immigrated to Austin, Texas, after winning the Green Card Lottery when she was 4 years old. Linda is the former President of the Black Law Students Association and is currently the Convention Coordinator for the National Black Law Students Association, and the Director of Communications and Records for the Moot Court Board. Linda is also serving as a Student Attorney with the Federal Public Defenders Office and a Legal Assistant at the RWU Business Start Up Clinic.

During her law school career, Linda has interned in various legal positions including working the Probation Reform Project of the Bronx Defenders, Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, the Federal Public Defenders for the First Circuit and the Business Start Up Clinic.

Before attending RWU Law, Linda earned her bachelor's degree in Public Relations, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Texas at San Antonio in three years. She actively participates in community outreach with a focus on bridging the gap and connecting high school, college, and law students to the vast network of professionals and resources in the state of Rhode Island. Upon graduation, Linda will be employed as a staff attorney for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Austin, Texas.

Linda always finds time to watch football (Go Colts!), basketball (Go Lakers!), host a cooking show on her Snapchat, and talk to her family in Texas.
