On December 19th, the RWU community gathered at One Empire Street  to announce the signing of a lease that will provide the School of Law with more, better, and new space to pursue its mission.  We were joined in the celebration by Providence Mayor Angel Tavares, a long-time supporter of the School of Law, and Mayor-Elect Jorge Elorza, who was a member of our faculty for almost ten years before his election in November.  The new building will serve as the hub of our experiential education programs and permit our students to continue to provide access to justice to Rhode...

The annual Law Alumni Association Holiday Reception was held on Wednesday, December 3rd in Providence.  It is always a great event with over one hundred alumni, lawyers, professors and Judges attending.  It has been a long-standing tradition that attendees are asked to bring a gift to donate to the annual Toys-for-Tots toy drive and this year was an overwhelming success with two large bins full of toys donated!  Thank you to all the attendees who generously donated a toy this year.    In addition to this being the first Holiday Reception with Dean Yelnosky at the helm...

The Office of Career Development recently hosted the fall session of their Exploring Your Options event in the RWU Law Atrium. An array of attorneys attended the event to share information with our law students on what it is like to work in different areas of the legal industry, focusing on the public sector.
