I finally have internet access to post a blog- hooray! I have so much to write about the past week and a half so here it goes... I arrived in London last Sunday. It was quite difficult getting from the airport to our dorm on the tube because I had so much luggage and there were way too many stairs on the London Underground! I was so grateful to finally make it to our dorm at Ramsay Hall of the University College London. Our dorm is on a busy street in the center of London with lots of restaurants and shops. We all have single rooms, which is pretty nice....

Greetings from London!
It's been a very fast paced first week here in London. Most arrived last Sunday, but I, the travelfiend, started on Thursday in Paris. I came close to seeing everything the city had to offer in a matter of days. Some of my best memories are a haunted history tour, amazing food, wine and cafe, and the Louvre. Ohh, the Louvre. So after several days of rushing, Monday morning class came as quite a change. No need to worry though, as Professor Webster is taking fabulous care of us, and never letting us go without tea and cookies through class. Wednesday...

I just finished an amazing weekend in London (except for the weather) and decided it would be a good time to update you all on what’s been going on. I got a chance to go to the London Eye, which is basically a huge ferris wheel in the center of London. It goes about 400 yards above sea level and gives you a wonderful view of Central London. From the very top, you can see Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace (no, I did not see the Queen), Big Ben, and Parliament. Maybe the coolest part of the whole experience was the 4D movie we saw after buying our tickets (much better than the MTV...

I have been in London now for a week and have had quite the adventure thus far. On the flight from Boston, I sat next to a musician who was travelling on business. As we started chatting, we discovered that we both lived in Providence and had a mutual friend who is also a 2L at RWU Law (it really is a small world). I then had the chance to visit with some family who live in the suburbs of London and get myself acclimated to life across the pond (for example, young people here wear their polo shirts with the collar up all the time and you have to look right when you cross the street because...

The marathon of the first year of law school has come to an end. The end of the year was a test of endurance and focus, with a five-hour property exam and the law review competition immediately after our torts final, at a time when continuing onward seemed impossible. If I don’t make law review, I am still pleased with myself for finding the inner strength to pull through at the end of a week in total isolation with the enormous packet of information-- shooting in the dark and hoping for something coherent, precise, and maybe special. Law review competition has ended, and I am...

I can't believe that I leave for London in 3 days! I started packing last night and it is definitely turning out to be a challenge. We have to bring 3 weeks worth of suits--thank goodness for Burlington Coat Factory and their fabulously priced suits! I have never been to London before so I am so excited to explore a new place. I had a wonderful experience in undergrad studying in Salamanca, Spain for a semester and I am sure that the London program will not disappoint! I am also planning on going to Paris during the program for a long weekend.
I can't wait...

I can’t believe it is already time to go to London. Where has all the time gone? Let’s see…after a very long semester, I decided to enter the Law Review Competition. Then I decided to take some much needed “me” time. I blew the dust off the Playstation 3 (I highly recommend Super Street Fighter), attended my brother’s graduation from URI (way to go baby bro!), and finally returned all the phone calls, emails, texts, and other messages I hadn’t gotten to because of the dreaded appellate brief and finals.
I can’t even really put my excitement about this London trip into words. During my...

Summer has just begun and here I am a week away from leaving to study in London for 5 weeks. I am extremely excited to spend 3 weeks learning in class at the Inner Temple about comparative law and British common law. I am even more excited for two weeks of interning under a barrister or judge, an opportunity most law students never get the opportunity to do. And interning at the Inner Temple is an experience only fellow RWU London students will ever know.
I feel like I have finally come down off the Spring semester finals-high. I enjoyed a relaxing Memorial Day...

I had anticipated the end of law school to arrive with some amount of fanfare, and perhaps that feeling will come next week, at graduation. But when I finished my last final exam at 9pm on Tuesday, I wasn't filled with a feeling of exhilaration, but my old familiar friend, exhaustion. That test ended like the dozens of others I've had over the past three years, with my mind spinning and the nagging feeling that I'd forgotten to mention a key point.
But the next morning I woke up at 8am, same as always, despite purposefully leaving my alarm unset. I put on the coffee, I started the...

This has been my busiest semester yet as far as exam taking goes. I've taken five finals so far and I have one left to go. And then, that's it - my 2L year is over.
I remember the welcome to high school speech that was presented to me and my class as 9th graders, entering the big, grown up world of high school. The principal stood before me and informed me that these next four years would be over before I knew it. Well, that was true. And as I entered each level of higher education, I was told the same thing in the welcome speeches, "Enjoy your time here because...
