A dramatic story of a now demolished community farm in Los Angeles, the plight of the residents who organized to protect the largest urban garden in the United States, and the role of their lawyers.

With an introduction to the film by local community lawyer Steve Fischbach of Rhode Island Legal Services

Panel Discussion

Lawyers and community organizers from cities across the Northeast—including Providence, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia—discuss the range of legal strategies used to help social movements and communities advance their goals.

Panelists will reflect on successful approaches to collaborations between lawyers and community organizers, as well as the challenges and potential pitfalls of these partnerships.

Moderated by Rob McCreanor, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Center for Justice
