The premise is a civil \n suit: A South Side African-American woman sues a Jewish North Shore real \n estate developer for defamation. The legal issue is whether or not she was \n falsely accused of stealing his watch and causing her financial harm.  \n DEFAMATION explores the highly charged issues of race\, religion\, gender\, \n class and the law with a twist: our law school audience is the jury. Through \n deliberations and post-show discussions\, audiences engage in civil discourse \n that challenges pre-conceived notions. After the trial\, the audience engages \n in a 15-minute deliberation led by the judge. The judge polls the audience \n twice - before the deliberation begins and at its end. The final vote ‘for \n the plaintiff’ or ‘for the defendant’ decides the outcome of the trial.\n \n For more information about DEFAMATION – THE PLAY\, click *here* [1].\n \n /Presented by the Office of Diversity & Outreach/\n \n /Co-Sponsored by the Office of the President/\n \n  \n \n / /\n \n \n [1] END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:calendar.12676.field_date.0.1 SUMMARY:CLE Program: Management of Spinal and Extremities Radiology DTSTAMP:20171018T014706Z DTSTART:20171102T213000Z DTEND:20171103T003000Z URL;VALUE=URI: LOCATION:Crowne Plaza\, Warwick\, Rhode Island DESCRIPTION:**\n \n *Management of Disc Pathologies and Other Spinal Abnormalities with \n Non-Surgical Pain Management with Strong Concentration on the Effects and \n Administration of Cortisone Injections.  *\n \n Presented by Roman Andrew Klufas\, MD\n \n This program will introduce the legal community to the appropriate use and \n interpretation of spinal and extremity imaging\, particularly in the setting \n of accident trauma. We will review the role of various imaging modalities\, \n including X-ray\, CT\, and MRI in assessing traumatic injury to the cervical\, \n lumbar spine and large extremities. A main goal of the lecture is to assist \n the attorney in the challenging task of differentiating acute injury from \n pre-existing chronic disease. Particular emphasis is placed on deciphering \n commonly used (and sometimes misused) imaging terminology to facilitate \n understanding the radiologist’s report and integrating image interpretation \n with clinical data.\n \n 5:30 pm  – 6:00 pm    Registration\n 6:00 pm –  7:45 pm    Program\n 7:45 pm –  8:00 pm    Q&A\n 8:00 pm –  8:30 pm    Networking Reception\n \n Crowne Plaza\n 801 Greenwich Avenue\n Warwick\, RI 02886\n \n Two (2) complimentary Rhode Island M.C.L.E. credits with zero legal ethics \n credit are approved for this program.\n \n CLE Program open to RWU Law students and the legal community.  *Registration \n required by Monday\, October 30\, 2017* *to RWU Law Office of Programs & \n Events at *** [1].\n \n Provided by Estner Injury Centers & Roger Williams University School of Law \n in partnership with Open MRI.\n \n  \n \n \n [1] END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:calendar.13006.field_date.0.2 SUMMARY:Providence Law School Fair DTSTAMP:20171018T014706Z DTSTART:20171111T160000Z DTEND:20171111T180000Z URL;VALUE=URI: LOCATION:RWU Law- Experiential Campus\, 1 Empire Street\, 4th Floor\, Providence\, RI \n 02903 DESCRIPTION:Representatives from law schools across the country will be in downtown \n Providence on November 11th to meet with potential applicants.  This is your \n chance to meet with decision makers at regional and national law schools and \n to learn more about their unique programs.\n \n  \n \n *Details and Registration* [1]\n \n \n [1]\;llr=nvxkdjcab END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:calendar.13066.field_date.0.3 SUMMARY:Free Practice LSAT Test DTSTAMP:20171018T014706Z DTSTART:20171117T150000Z DTEND:20171117T183000Z URL;VALUE=URI: LOCATION:RWU Law Experiential Campus\, 1 Empire Street\, 4th Floor\, Providence\, RI 02903 DESCRIPTION:RWU Law is partnering with The Princeton Review Boston to offer prospective \n students a LSAT Free Practice Test under test conditions on Friday\, November \n 17\, 2017 from 10:00 AM- 1:30 PM on the 4th floor of RWU Law's new \n Experiential Campus located at 1 Empire Street\, Providence\, RI 02903.  Come \n get a sense of your strengths and weaknesses so you know how to prep for the \n real LSAT!\n \n  \n \n Register online [1] to participate in the LSAT Free Practice Test.\n \n  \n \n Please contact Jolee Vacchi\, Assistant Director of Admissions\, at \n [2] or (401) 254-4555 with any questions regarding the event.\n \n \n [1]\n [2] END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:calendar.12756.field_date.0.4 SUMMARY:Jeopardy!
