Environmental Law Society
The Environmental Law Society (ELS) is dedicated to providing law students with educational events pertaining to all aspects of environmental law, as well as opportunities to participate in outdoor activities and volunteer programs.
The goals of ELS for the 2010-2011 academic year include: increasing networking and job opportunities for students in the environmental community, collaborating with other student organizations on overlapping issues, and raising the overall level of environmental awareness at RWU School of Law.
ELS was founded in 2004 and has steadily grown in membership and student involvement each year. Events for the upcoming year will include beach clean-ups, BBQs, guest speakers, outings, and many other exciting opportunities.
Prospective and current students are encouraged to explore the Marine Affairs website which includes information about the semi-annual Marine Law Symposium at RWU Law. Additionally, ELS will continue to collaborate with environmental law students nationwide through the National Association of Environmental Law Societies.
A schedule of events for the 2010-2011 academic year will be made available to interested students in the fall.
