RWU Law's faculty ranked fifth in New England in per capita productivity for articles in "top 50" law journals from 1993 to 2011 - trailing only Yale, Harvard, Boston University, and Boston College.

International Law Society
The RWU Law International Law Society aims to bring students with international backgrounds and legal interests together, while seeking to expose them to prominent academics and attorneys, various career paths and contemporary international legal issues. The ILS is additionally responsible for fostering a Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team that competes each year as part of an international competition, in 2009-2010 the topic will be the right to self-determination and the lawfulness of measures taken to protect the economic resources of a state.
This upcoming year ILS hopes to bring students to the ABILA International Law Weekend (October 22-24) in New York City and we hope to have our Second Annual International Networking Night in November (introducing students to various professionals within the local legal community who practice international law). Further, we hope to pair up with other student organizations to bring interesting speakers to RWU. As part of our greater mission of fostering international interest, in 2009-2010, the ILS hopes to offer film nights and brown bag lunches with our international faculty and additionally take advantage of the great local resources: Alliance Francaise de Providence, German American Cultural Society of Rhode Island, and the Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States, among others.
