The Marine Affairs Institute holds a major symposium every other year. These events draw national and international experts in their various fields to RWU Law. Students can attend these symposia for free. Past topics range from fisheries law, climate change and the legacy of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
RWU Law enjoys a trend of strong bar-passage numbers in the top exam states targeted by its graduates – including Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York.
In Massachusetts – which, over the past few years, has become the top state in which our students sit for the bar exam – RWU Law has met or exceeded the state’s average pass rate for the last two years.
Outside Massachusetts, bar-passage results for RWU Law’s Class of 2009 are also outstanding. Of the 140 graduates who sat for the bar in our top five states, 129 passed at least one exam – for an overall pass rate of 92% in these jurisdictions. The top five states in which our students sit for the bar exam are (in order of popularity) Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
