Assistant Dean Lalli is a magna cum laude graduate
of Spelman College, where she majored in Philosophy
and earned membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She
received her Juris Doctor degree, also magna cum
laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law
in 2001. As a law student, she won numerous awards
for academic excellence, and served as President of
the Multicultural Law Students Association and the
extramural Trial Team.
Assistant Dean Lalli is admitted to the state bars
of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and practiced with
Brown Rudnick, LLP in Boston before returning to her
alma mater as the first Director of Diversity &
Outreach. In this important capacity, Assistant Dean
Lalli energized existing programs designed to
improve the academic experience, and thus academic
success, of students from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to her diversity-related
responsibilities, Assistant Dean Lalli served as
Associate Director of Academic Support. In this
capacity she worked closely with Dean of Students
Dennis Tonsing to deliver academic support to Roger
Williams students on an as-needed basis. An
especially important contribution was her work
developing and delivering "Jumpstart," an innovative
summer program for non-traditional students. In
addition, Assistant Dean Lalli planned and presented
at a national conference of Academic Support
Directors held at RWU, sponsored by the Law School
Admission Council, and served on the School of Law
Admissions Committee.
