Second and Third Year Orientation Session
The 1L and Transfer Student luncheon is a wonderful opportunity to meet with fellow students who are interested in public interest law as well as learn about the programs and opportunities that the Feinstein Institute has to offer. Please e-mail Feinstein.Institute@rwu.edu for questions or to RSVP.
Please join RWU Law Professor Emily Sack for a candid conversation with David Coombs, lead defense counsel for Private Manning, the soldier convicted in the largest leak of documents in United States history. On August 21, 2013, Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison for providing over 700,000 classified documents to Wikileaks. On September 3, 2013, Manning filed a presidential pardon and commutation request stating that the conduct was committed “out of a love for my country and sense of duty to others.”
Please join the International Law Students Association for a discussion of international legal issues in Latin America and an introroduction on how to greet your client in Spanish.
The MCLSA 1L Welcome Breakfast provides first year students with an opportunity to meet other 1Ls outside of their section. Additionally, these students will have the opportunity to meet 2L and 3L students and engage in casual conversation regarding the transition to law school and any ancillary issues, concerns, or ideas and suggestions for the year. All are welcome.
