Jayson Cooley '11

photo of Jayson CooleyJayson Cooley ’11, a Public Interest Scholar, spent the summer of 2009 as an intern with the New York Civil Liberties Union’s Reproductive Rights Project in New York City, where he assisted in litigation, legal analysis, and public education work with the goal of preserving and expanding reproductive rights in New York.

A graduate of Indiana University, Cooley earlier held a public relations role with the Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders in Boston.

“I always knew I wanted a career in public service, and the Feinstein Institute for Legal Service really impressed me,” he says of his decision to attend RWU Law. “It offered a wide range of community involvement opportunities, innovative programs, and a dedicated, encouraging and friendly staff. I also enjoy the tight-knit community here; I genuinely like my classmates!”
