Writing Specialist

Kim M. Baker has been teaching writing in academe and business for 23 years. As the Writing Specialist, Professor Baker supports all law students as they work to improve their writing skills, beginning in Legal Methods first year and continuing through seminar papers, writing samples, test taking, and job applications. Professor Baker also works to end violence against women.  Her poems have been published online and in print and essays broadcast on NPR.  Three short plays have been stage-read at Culture*Park in New Bedford.  Her first chapbook of poetry, Under the Influence:  Musings about Poems and Paintings, is available from Finishing Line Press.  Kim is currently working on a book of ekphrasis poems about the stories and portrayals of women in the paintings of female artists.
