RWU Law faculty members are frequently cited in the local, regional and national media, and recent weeks have been no exception.
Dean David A. Logan was recently quoted by Providence Business News on the nomination of Justice Paul A. Suttell to be Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Dean Logan and RWU Law Professor Jorge Elorza were consulted in great detail in a Providence Journal article regarding the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the United States Supreme Court, and Professor Jared Goldstein was heavily sourced in a follow-up several days later.
Meanwhile, Professor Carl Bogus was quoted in an article discussing a conflict controversy involving a judge on Rhode Island’s Workers’ Compensation Court, and a prominent lawyer who happens to be the spouse of a Rhode Island Supreme Court justice; and Professor Peter Margulies was cited in a piece on lawyers representing Guantanamo detainees. And in the aftermath of the Holocaust museum shooting and the slaying of abortion doctor George Tiller, Professor Edward Eberle was extensively quoted in the New York Times’ influential Opinion Blog (which was subsequently picked up and favorably analyzed in the prominent “Racism Review” blog).
The list keeps growing – keep an eye on the media to find RWU Law’s outstanding faculty consistently helping to shape and deepen the public dialogue. To read all of these stories and much more, visit RWU’s exciting new Media Room site.
