RWU Law offers a joint JD and master’s degree in marine affairs with the University of Rhode Island. Only 3 law schools in the U.S. offer such a joint degree.

Student RI Association for Justice (SRIAJ)
SRIAJ is dedicated to providing a forum for education, advocacy, and scholarship in conjunction with the Rhode Island Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice aimed at advancing the civil justice system. The SRIAJ provides an opportunity for professional growth and provides a forum for gaining knowledge about eh practice of litigation. The RIAJ affiliation with the nationally recognized AAJ provides for a more broad learning experience on a national level.
This year we will be promoting a mentorship program with the goal of matching students with lawyers in the broader community, based on the participating students interests. With this mentorship program the SRIAJ hopes create a bridge between practicing lawyers and Roger Williams University School of Law. Membership in SRIAJ is a great opportunity for students to network, gain some practical knowledge on the legal profession, and is open to any students wishing to participate in the mentorship program.
This fall we have some exciting events planned and I’d personally like to invite anyone interested in the SRIAJ or in more information about our organization and goals to stop at our Orientation booth and to attend our first fall meeting. Thank you and good luck this year!
