Student loan programs provide the majority
of funding for students in pursuit of a
law degree.
There are two types of loans that allow
you to borrow up to your cost of attendance: Federal Stafford and Graduate Plus Loans.
The FFEL (Federal Family Education Loan)
Stafford Loan Program provides students
with an attractive, low interest loan. A
graduate student may be eligible for $20,500
annually in Stafford Loan funds. These loans have a six month grace period following graduation.
Students must submit a Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine
eligibility.
Our FAFSA school code is 003410.
Federal Graduate Plus Loans are available to fill the gap between
your Federal Stafford loans and your total
cost of attendance. Students may apply for a forbearance in order to avoid immediate repayment, as there is no built in grace period.
Each program has different terms and eligibility
requirements. A satisfactory credit history
is essential in order to obtain a Graduate Plus loan.
A list of recommedned lenders is provided yearly to students. Students are under no obligation to use these lenders.
