The Thurgood Marshall Lecture Series is held biennially and is sponsored by the School of Law, a local law firm and the Marshall family.
Bridge to Success Law Day
Each year the School of Law invites local high school students to campus to hear more about pursuing a legal career. These campus visits provide an opportunity for current law students to advise and guide students from nearby high schools as they consider becoming lawyers. One group of students who visits annually is from the Bridge to Success Program, a college readiness program facilitated by Roger Williams University. It serves inner-city high school students from Providence and Newport, RI.
Jump Start Summer Program
This program, co-sponsored by the
Academic Support Program and the Office
of Diversity & Outreach, is held every
year in the week leading up to new
student orientation. It is
designed to provide additional academic
and social support for select students
as they transition into law school and
to help them reach their full potential
to achieve success.
