The author discusses major provisions of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code which governs secured transactions. They are lease of goods, the security interest and its attachment, perfection of the interest, priorities, and default and enforcement. Each discussion of the topic is followed by examples for the reader to work through along with explanations of the examples.
There are chapters on the security agreement, relationship of the parties prior to default, perfection of security interest, perfection of security interest by filing, choice of law and perfection in multiple state transactions, priorities of secured parties and others, bankruptcy or insolvency of debtor, default and enforcement of security interest.
