Students interested in concentrating
their law school education in ocean and
coastal law and maritime law can avail themselves
of elective course offerings in pollution
and environmental regulation, coastal zone
law, fisheries, traditional admiralty law
and practice, and related international
law courses.
The School of Law, in conjunction
with the University of Rhode Island's Department of Marine Affairs,
allows students to complete the Juris Doctor
and Master of Marine Affairs degrees by
transferring credits between the institutions
to reduce the complete the two degrees in
3 ½ years.
The program provides a wide
variety of courses in law and policy regarding
the environment and natural resources, coastal
zone, maritime and admiralty issues, and
related international topics.
