Rhode Island Bar Celebrates PBC, Mandell

Rhode Island's legal luminaries gathered in Providence to celebrate the Pro Bono Collaborative (PBC) and pay special tribute to leading attorney Mark Mandell.

From Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly: "Legal Luminaries Celebrate Pro Bono Collaborative"

November 10, 2014: More than 150 guests attended the Pro Bono Collaborative (PBC)’s  5th Annual Cocktail Reception at One Citizens Plaza Rotunda in downtown Providence, R.I. Community leaders and prominent members of the bench and bar, as well as students, faculty, alumni from Roger Williams University School of Law all gathered to celebrate and support the PBC, which partners Rhode Island law firms and RWU Law students with community-based organizations to provide project-based pro bono legal assistance for some of the state’s most vulnerable populations.

The event, which was attended by luminaries including U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Providence Mayor Angel Taveras, featured a special tribute to prominent Rhode Island attorney Mark Mandell, Esq., whose transformative $250,000 challenge gift was essential to the PBC’s survival and continuing success.
