Litigation Academy "Mediation Skills Program"

Law School Co-Sponsors New Federal Court Mediation Training Program – Registration Now Open!

The Litigation Academy has just launched its newest training program, which focuses on Mediation Skills.  The program offers a unique opportunity to build mediation skills by participating in a hands-on simulated case problem with constructive critiques by judges, mediators, and experienced federal litigators. The program will take place for eight hours spread over the days of May 2, 2017 to May 5, 2017 and offers 8.0 CLE credits, including 1.5 ethics credits.  Partial scholarships are available. 

This Mediation Skills training is the newest offering in a continuing series of training programs created by the Litigation Academy, a joint project of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the Roger Williams University School of Law, and the Federal Bar Association.

Enrollment is limited and registration will close on April 28, 2017

Free Practice LSAT Test

RWU Law is partnering with The Princeton Review Boston to offer prospective students a LSAT Free Practice Test under test conditions on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 10:00 AM- 1:30 PM on the 4th floor of RWU Law's new Experiential Campus located at 1 Empire Street, Providence, RI 02903.  Come get a sense of your strengths and weaknesses so you know how to prep for the real LSAT!

May Accepted Students Day with Providence Preview

We invite our admitted and deposited students for the incoming RWU Law class of 2020 to attend our May Accepted Students Day with Providence Preview on Monday, May 15th.  The day will begin with registration at 9:30 AM at our experiential education campus in downtown Providence, located at 1 Empire Plaza. You will spend the morning meeting with our clinical faculty, talking with members of the Rhode Island bench and bar, and hearing from current students about third year opportunities in Providence.

We will then spend the afternoon at our main campus located at 10 Metacom Avenue in Bristol, RI.  We have an optional coach bus available to transport you between the 2 campuses, or you can opt to drive yourself.  The School of Law will validate parking throughout the day at our partner parking garage.  We will have a mock class and student life panel in Bristol, and the coach bus will return to Providence at the end of the program.

Class of 2020 How to Prepare for Law School BBQ/Mixer

The incoming 1L RWU Law Class of 2020 is invited to join us on campus for a special event on Friday, June 9th. Registration is at 10:45 AM.  However, several of our offices including Financial Aid, the Office of Student Finance and Records, Admissions, Career Development, Marine Affairs, Diversity and Outreach, the Library, the Dean's Suite, and our Feinstein Center for Pro Bono and Experiential Education, will have open office hours beginning at 9:30 AM for students to stop by to get more information and to ask questions.

The formal program will start at 11:00 AM with an informative presentation on "How to Prepare for Law School" by Kathy Thompson, the Director of our Academic Success Program.  This session will be followed by an outdoor BBQ/Mixer (weather permitting) to meet and mingle with your future classmates, faculty, administrators, and current students.  Come meet potential roommates, and then spend the weekend apartment hunting in Bristol.  You won't want to miss it!

19th Annual Rhode Island Attorney General Open Government Summit

RWU Law Alumni Association is proud to co-sponsor the 19th Annual Rhode Island Attorney General Open Government Summit.

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd Floor Atrium.  The event beings at 9:00 a.m.

Individuals who would like to attend the Open Government Summit need to register with the Office of Attorney General.  Seating is limited.  Registration for the event can be made by calling (401) 274-4400, ext. 2101, or by sending an email to

Attorneys must be physically present at Roger Williams University School of Law to obtain CLE credits.
