Our Feinstein Institute for Legal Service was recognized by National Jurist magazine as one of the two strongest public interest law programs in the Northeast, while our Marine Affairs Institute is one of only a few programs in the country offering a concentration in this increasingly vital field of law.

Meanwhile our excellent clinical programs offer unparalleled opportunities to move from theory to practice, helping actual clients solve their legal dilemmas:

• Criminal Defense Clinic students represent indigent defendants from arraignment to trial to sentencing before the state District Court and Traffic Tribunal
• The Mediation Clinic trains students in essential mediation and conflict-resolution skills, while helping actual clients
• The Immigration Clinic allows students to work in partnership with community organizations providing legal aid to local immigrant communities
