Ask a Librarian

Ask a Librarian is normally available when reference service is available. During the Fall and Spring semesters, reference hours are:

Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Thursday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Summer semester reference hours are generally:

Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

During the Summer semester, librarians are available even though the Reference Desk is not staffed as many hours. Ask a Librarian is available on a limited basis. Students and faculty are encouraged to email, call or visit the library when the Ask a Librarian service is not available.

To use the chat feature of Ask a Librarian:

•    Verify that Ask a Librarian is “Online.”
•    Enter your name and RWU email address.
•    Type your question.

If Ask a Librarian is “Offline,” you will be given the option to contact the reference staff via e-mail at LawLibraryHelp@rwu.edu.

You may also contact a librarian by telephone at (401) 254-4547.

For complex questions, students are encouraged to meet with a reference librarian in person to learn what library services and resources are available to them.
