The Beauty of Due Diligence

The Open Door Speaker Series presents The Beauty of Due Diligence.

This presentation will explore what due diligence is, varying levels of sophistication in due diligence processes, and real-world examples demonstrating both its value and the consequences of failing to perform it properly.

All examples are based on actual cases, including examples from Rhode Island as well as national and international matters.

The presentation will be delivered live using PowerPoint, with hard copies provided at the start. It will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.  and run for one hour, followed by a reception and an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the speaker one-on-one.

Active participation and questions throughout the presentation are encouraged.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Michael A. Voccola, Esq. L'97 is the Corporate Vice President and Legal Counsel for Procaccianti Companies, Inc., the second largest hotel owner/operator in the United States.  In addition, the Company has vast real estate holdings in virtually every asset class, providing a fertile bed of opportunities for due diligence in a number of complex areas, locations and types.

Mr. Voccola is a member of the bar of the state of Connecticut, In-House Counsel in Rhode Island, and a member of the bar of the US Supreme Court.  He also holds directorships in various organizations including The Providence Foundation, Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Providence Improvement District, Read to Succeed and others.
