Free HIV Testing

AIDS Project Rhode Island is partnering with RWU Health Services to offer free, anonymous, and confidential HIV testing to all students.  Other sexually transmitted illness (STI) testing will be available at a discounted price.  For accurate test results, do not eat, drink, or brush your teeth 30 minutes prior to testing.  Stop by Health Services and get yourself tested!  No appointment necessary. 

Testing dates for this semester are:

September 11th, from 3 to 5:00 pm

October 17th, from 3 to 5:00 pm

November 14th, from 3:15 to 5:15 pm

December 12th, from 3:15 to 5:15 pm

Did you know that… nearly 20 million new STI’s occur in the United States each year?  One in every two sexually active young adults will get an STI before age 25.  Most people do not know they are infected because many STI’s have no symptoms.  While most STI’s do not cause harm, some have the potential to cause serious health problems if not diagnosed and treated early. 

STI testing is one of the most powerful tools in protecting yourself and preventing transmission to others.
