Film Screening – Tre Maison Dason

MonOct15
School of Law - Room 283 Open to the Public

On October 15, join us for a screening of the movie Tre Maison Dasan. Tre Maison Dasan is an intimate portrait of three boys growing up, each with a parent in prison. Directly told through the child’s perspective, the film is an exploration of relationships and separation, masculinity, and coming of age in America when a parent is behind bars. This event will provide a forum to discuss issues raised by parental incarceration and the collateral effects of prison on families and children. There will be a post-film audience discussion with the film’s director, Prof. Denali Tiller of Rhode Island School of Design. Dinner will be served.

This event is generously supported by the Office of the Dean, the Pro Bono Collaborative, the Criminal Defense Clinic, Association for Public Interest Law, Criminal Law Society, National Lawyer's Guild and the Student Chapter of RI Association for Justice.
