BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University School of Law is expanding access to its public education podcast, Law 401, with WPRI 12. As of Feb. 24, the podcast is now streaming on WPRI 12+, the station’s free CTV app.

Launched in July 2025, Law 401 explores legal issues that shape daily life in Rhode Island and translates complex topics into clear, practical conversations. Short-form episodes produced for WPRI 12+ will air weekly on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The free WPRI 12+ app is available on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Samsung Smart TVs. More information is available at: https://www.wpri.com/wpri-12-tv-app/

“We’re proud to offer a broad and unique mix of local, original programming on our free WPRI 12+ TV App,” said Lee Dooley, Digital Director at WPRI 12. “The newly added Law 401 podcast-style series perfectly represents the kind of innovative content we’re sharing on WPRI 12+. Hosted by experts from Roger Williams University School of Law, the show breaks down complex legal issues into real-world, eye-opening discussions that explain how these topics impact all of us. That’s exactly the type of meaningful, niche local content we aim to deliver.”

Dean Gregory W. Bowman said this program reflects the law school’s longstanding commitment to public service.

“We’re honored to partner with WPRI 12+ to expand access to Law 401 and help bring legal knowledge into the daily lives of Rhode Islanders. As Rhode Island’s law school, public service is central to our mission—and our collaboration with WPRI 12+ will allow us to reach broader audiences with timely, real-world conversations about how the law affects us all. We’re grateful for this opportunity to support civic understanding through this innovative new streaming TV platform.”
