100 Years After The 19th Amendment: Their Legacy, Our Future

MonOct5
- RWU Law Library

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting the constitutional right to vote for women.

This historic centennial offers a tremendous opportunity to commemorate a milestone of democracy and to explore its relevance to the issues of equal rights today. The ABA Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress Traveling Exhibit, which features historic photos and artifacts primarily from the Law Library of Congress, details the story of the battle for ratification and outlines the challenges that remain.

The 19th Amendment Traveling Exhibit will be at Roger Williams University School of Law Library October 5 – October 9, 2020.  There will be no public viewing. A virtual program will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Please visit here for details about the virtual program.
