Open Door Speaker Series - The Beauty of Due Diligence

This presentation discusses what due diligence is, levels of sophistication of the processes, examples of how it pays off and examples of what happens when proper due diligence is not performed.

All examples are actual examples, with some being Rhode Island based and others both national and international in scope.

The presentation will be live by the speaker using PowerPoint with hard copies being distributed at the start of the presentation.  The presentation will start at 6:00 p.m. sharp and last one (1) hour to be followed by a reception and direct one-on-one opportunities with the speaker.

Active question and answer sessions are encouraged.

Michael A. Voccola, Esq. L'97 is the Corporate Vice President and Legal Counsel for Procaccianti Companies, Inc., the second largest hotel owner/operator in the United States.  In addition, the Company has vast real estate holdings in virtually every asset class, providing a fertile bed of opportunities for due diligence in a number of complex areas, locations and types.

Mr. Voccola is a member of the bar of the state of Connecticut, In-House Counsel in Rhode Island, and a member of the bar of the US Supreme Court.  He also holds directorships in various organizations including The Providence Foundation, Great Providence Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Providence Improvement District, Read to Succeed and others.
