(Sung to the tune of Seasons of Love, from the musical Rent)

Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred minutes*,
Two hundred twenty-nine thousand minutes of law,
Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred minutes
How do you measure
Measure JDs?

In writing?
In studying?
In late nights
With coffee?
In clinics, in PR, in journals, in court?

Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred minutes
How do you measure three years in law school?

How about calls?
How about skills?
How about torts?
Treasure the law
Seasons of law
Seasons of law

Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred minutes
Two hundred twenty-nine thousand moments to grow
Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred minutes
How do you measure preparing to practice law?

In truths that we learned,
or in times that we tried?
In colleagues we earned,
Or our hard-worked for pride?

It’s time now to head out
and prep for the dreaded bar
But celebrate now, remember your law school life
and friends

Remember the law...
(Oh, you've got to, you've got to remember the law)
Remember the law...
(You know the law is the gift you worked hard for)
Remember the law...
(Share law, give law, treasure law, treasure, treasure your life in law)
Seasons of law...
Seasons of law...

Treasure your life, treasure your life in law!

CONGRATULATIONS to the RWU Law class of 2026!!!

* We are CERTAIN that you spent a lot more time than this on law school work, but this number is meaningful here. The ABA requires 229,500 combined minutes of instruction and outside-class work for 90 credit hours. RWU Law requires 90 credit hours for graduation.
