Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the Law Library! We hope between classes and homework you are finding some spooky time for yourself. The Mental Health Club is painting pumpkins, and your Law Librarians are handing out trick-or-treat bags on Thursday, October 30th, outside room 279. It will be a howling good time.
While this holiday may be filled with shrieks, shouts, and candy surplus, please be quiet in the Law Library and only have food in the Lounge. Food is only allowed in the Lounge due to the risk of pests and to keep most of the library clean (no one likes cracker crumbs on their table). Low, occasional whispering is acceptable in the library's main area, but personal conversations should be held in the Lounge or a study room. Please also keep in mind that rooms aren’t soundproof or insulated, so your voices still carry beyond the rooms. You don’t want to wake up the dead with your conversations.
Speaking of the dead, there’s been a murder. Starting Monday, October 27th, until midnight on Halloween, you have the chance to solve the murder of N. E. Boddie (Autopsy ID#: 658173) to win the grand prize donated by Lexis. Use the guide to look at the evidence and submit your theory. It’s possible on a phone, but much easier to navigate on a computer. So even if you are in Providence a lot, you still have the chance to solve it! A murder board will also be posted on our glass wall if you are a more visual detective.
If that’s not enough frights for you – there are tons of Halloween-themed events happening over the next week. At the Providence G there’s a hell-raising Welcome to the Afterlife party on Saturday October 25th. You can also book a Providence Ghost Tour.
