Welcome (Back) Law Students!
The RWU Law Library staff would like to welcome all our Law School Students! We are excited to get to know the 1L students as you begin your law school journey. We are anxious to welcome back the 2L and 3L students.
The library staff is here to help you have a successful academic year. The library offers a remarkable array of services and resources to complement and advance the scholarship, practice skills education, and intellectual life at RWU Law:
- Legal and non-legal research assistance in-person, via Ask a Librarian, by email, or by calling 401-254-4547;
- RWU LawGuides cover a wide variety of topics;
- Guides on Study Aids for the 1L and upper-class curriculum;
- The interlibrary loan service to obtain an item not held at the RWU libraries;
- Study rooms;
- Wireless access and printing;
- Copying and Scanning;
- The WebCatalog to locate items in our collection and online;
- Access to digital resources on and off campus;
- Legal research instruction by our librarians;
The library also offers an assortment of necessary items that are sometimes forgotten at home. The library has a variety of chargers for phones and computers for short-term use to juice up electronics. The library has umbrellas for rainy days. We have table lamps to give you extra light when studying, blankets for the cool sections of the library, and fans for the warm spots in the library. All items can be borrowed from the circulation desk for three hours.
To update patrons about library events and new resources in the Law Library we communicate the information in many ways. Stay connected via our law library website, blog, Facebook page, X account, and Instagram account.
The library is THE place to research and study. It is also great to chill out and de-stress. If you have any questions or just need a helping hand, stop by and say hi!
