Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

Roger Williams University School of Law Robe and Hood

For most of you, today marks the culmination of the most challenging work you have undertaken so far. Spend today as it is intended, celebrating this amazing achievement with your family, friends, and other loved ones.  You can start tackling the next challenge on Monday.

You are joining a great profession and colleagues who will challenge you to succeed at every turn. After this summer, you will head out to firms, clerkships, other jobs, or perhaps continue your graduate education.  (There may be a future law librarian in your midst!) Regardless of your next challenge, you will be an RWU Law Alum, joining a fantastic group of attorneys who “do well by doing good.”

But first, next week.  If you’re studying for the bar this summer and are staying in the area, the library will be open this summer, and yes, we have air conditioning!  We will be open Monday-Friday, except Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and the 4th of July weekend.  After that weekend, our hours will be extended to include weekends through August 1.

Before you delve too deeply into bar study, consider extending your library services beyond your bar studies.

  • Visit our Post-Graduation Access page for information on accessing Lexis and Westlaw, including instructions on how to opt in.
  • Register for access to the Law Alumni Access to the HeinOnline Law Journal Library. We offer alumni remote access to this source for law review articles.
  • If you plan to practice in RI, MA, or CT after passing the Bar Exam, be sure to also register for an Alumni Borrower Card. This card not only provides you with borrowing privileges but also allows you to use our study rooms when you visit (subject to availability).

Lastly, law alumni are always welcome to contact us via the Ask A Librarian service. You can chat with us, email, call, or visit the law librarians and let us know how we can assist you, both during bar study and beyond. We are your law library for life.

Congratulations Graduates!
